Couldn't be worseIt was a complete disaster from day one. To start off, they assigned a number for the wrong city so calls would have been long distance. Repeated calls to tech because calls/voice mail couldn't get through our computer firewall. They'd say they would call back and wouldn't and then after 4 or 5 days of waiting and calling back, they finally emailed some generic link to a website so we could try and sort things out ourselves. Overcharged more than $100...what else could possibly go wrong in the space of three months? My husband is such a patient man and I've never seen him so angry and frustrated over anything, ever. It was beyond horrible.

I'm sorry for the service and support you experienced with us. We strive everyday to exceed normal standards and this is not acceptable to us, and especially not to you. We appreciate you taking the extra time to review our service and your feedback is extremely valuable and certainly acknowledged. We were able to locate your account and will be reviewing this feedback and your notes to try and make sure this experience doesn't happen again to any other customers. I'm sorry this happened to you though.
Although the overcharges and most of the service has been refunded to you, we will be submitting one last refund request to refund your service in full. It didn't work for you, why should you pay for it? I am submitting that today Friday the 21st, but because it's Friday it may be Tuesday or Wednesday of next week before you see it posted to your bank or card company. Although VoIP doesn't work for everybody, the issues you experienced were no part your own fault. Business is a practice, and we practice everyday to be better and raise our expectations. We've been in business for over 11 years now and cannot take this lightly. Thanks again. Best in the BusinessAfter years of being overbilled by Bell Canada, thought I try voice over IP to cut costs. I first tried Primus and was hugely disappointed with both their customer service and price as they jacked it up almost double in just 3 months of joining.
I then tried Yak based on all the positive reviews I read. Even though their price and customer service was good, I was very disappointed with their quality of calls. I spent 1 year with them and was on the phone with their technical service team for much of it. It was extremely frustrating to go through.
That's when I switched to 1-Voip. Have been with them for over 1 year now and I have to say, they have impressed me in every area. Quality, price and most of all, amazing customer/technical service. The call quality is just like a landline which is important to me with a business and it rarely goes down unlike my other experience and when it does, it is resolved quickly. The team there is extremely responsive and very knowledgeable. I don't have to be passed to various different people before I can get any resolution. I am thankful to have switched to 1-Voip. It was the best decision as they are the best at what they do.

Furthermore, if a customer opts in to a 3-year contract with Comwave the price drops to $9.95. Price baiting into long contracts is a marketing ploy to attract customers and hold them at gunpoint for as long as you want.
Another potential competitor to 1-VoIP would be Vonage, a prominent and well established VoIP provider in Canada. They are offering a basic VoIP plan for $9.95, but unlike Comwave, this plan is unlimited for the entirety of North America. However, Vonage also requires you to sign up on a contractual basis to attain this price. Without a contractual term, customers would be required to pay $25.99 per month for this basic plan! 1-VoIP offers its plan on a prepaid basis which results in a better deal for the customer who doesn’t have to feel bound or worried about termination charges. Oh, and did we mention that 1-VoIP offers the lowest price out of all three!
1-VoIP’s basic calling plan also allows customers to indulge in international calling, but do their rates match up to the VoIP giants across Canada? Calling to Pakistan using 1-VoIP services would cost a consumer 5 cents per minute. Using Comwave’s basic plan calling to Pakistan would cost 11.9 cents!
The substantial difference of almost 7 cents per minute puts 1-VoIP ahead by a fair margin. Vonage doesn’t fare as well against 1-VoIP either considering the rates for international calls to Pakistan would amount to 8 cents per minute! Another impressive aspect of 1-VoIP is that its services are acquirable across the majority of Canada, making it even easier for people who wish to save money by opting into an economically friendlier solution.
A few distinct features that are also included are the email account and 2GBs of cloud storage; these are unique features considering we have not seen any other provider offer them, however, we suspect and hope that it will become a lasting trend. How is that for voicemail storage eh? It also comes in handy for storage when using 1-VOIP's web fax feature.

I have Bell Fibe installed, Home Hub 2000. I have Uniden DECT1560 phones. I am not very electronics savvy. How does one set up 1-VoiP equipment? Do you have installation instructions that you can send to me before I order?

Hello, There is no need for a computer. All that is required is an internet connection. There is an adapter used (ATA, or Analog Telephone Adapter) to allow the connection of the regular phone calls go over the internet. The adapter may be purchased by yourself or supplied by 1-VoIP.
