Excellent service

I am a brand new customer with Teksaavy and I'm extremely pleased with the service. Robert and Midhun were both helpful, patient, friendly and efficient from the moment I called in. I highly recommend Teksaavy for internet service. These two gentlemen deserve a raise :) Thank you guys for all your help!

What happened to your Customer Service

When the internet is not down, TekTalk is wonderful. However, daily and frequent drops for reasons unknown, render the VOIP line useless. They have reduced your ability to contact them and when you do, they bully you into needless and painstaking troubleshooting. The troubleshooting is stupid or ridiculously complicated for the non-technical customer.
The service request is created and cancelled without contacting the customer to confirm that everything is working. Doesn't matter if the customer service is lousy if the service is available more often than not. After 9 years, cancelled service and went elsewhere.

Teksavvy is great

I have been a customer for almost ten years with almost no issues. Any issues that have occurred are either the fault of Rogers doing unplanned maintenance or me entering a serial number of a modem incorrectly. Any time I have called, the staff have been helpful and gone the extra mile for me. I have tried their new TV service without any issues. I have switched my mom over to them from Telnet Communications/worldcom and she has had nothing but good service. As a network support technician with over 25 years experience, I can speculate with much certainty that a lot of the tech issues posted here are a result of a cheap router/cabling, routers with old firmware, bad firewall settings, or incorrectly configured QoS settings on routers. Some may be due to old area infrastructure, but that number is likely low. There also may be unresolved interference cases too which can usually be fixed by filters or reconfiguring Wi-Fi channels. There also may be some cheap Wi-Fi boosters at fault as well. Don't always blame the isp because there's lots of other contributors to bad service. I am about to switch her over to TekTalk with no concerns at all.

About Teksavvy

Teksavvy Solutions Inc. is a Canadian telecommunications company that provides internet and home phone services to residential and business customers across Canada. Established in 1998, Teksavvy has grown to become one of the leading independent ISPs in the country, with a focus on delivering reliable and affordable services to its customers.

Teksavvy differentiates itself by advocating for net neutrality and fighting for consumer rights and fair competition in the telecommunications industry. The company has a reputation for offering flexible plans, transparent pricing, and exceptional customer service, making it a popular choice for users seeking alternatives to traditional telecom providers.

Internet Services

Teksavvy offers various internet plans to cater to different usage needs and budgets. Their internet services are available over both DSL and cable networks, depending on the customer's location. With competitive download and upload speeds, users can enjoy fast and reliable internet access for browsing, streaming, gaming, and other online activities.

The company's commitment to net neutrality means that Teksavvy strives to provide an open internet experience, ensuring that all online traffic is treated equally without discrimination or prioritization.

Home Phone Services

Teksavvy's home phone services are delivered over traditional copper networks. They offer a range of home phone plans that include features such as voicemail, caller ID, call waiting, and unlimited calling within Canada. Teksavvy's home phone services are often bundled with their internet plans, providing customers with cost-effective options for both services.

It's essential to note that as of my last update in September 2021, Teksavvy does not offer VoIP-based home phone services. Therefore, any client reviews, outages history, and brand reputation mentioned here pertain to their traditional home phone services rather than VoIP.

Client Reviews and Brand Reputation

As an independent ISP, Teksavvy has garnered a reputation for providing reliable internet services and transparent pricing. Many customers appreciate Teksavvy's commitment to net neutrality and customer advocacy, as the company has actively participated in legal and regulatory battles to protect consumer rights and promote fair competition in the industry.

However, as with any internet service provider, there may be occasional challenges related to outages, customer support, and network performance. Customers' experiences can vary based on factors such as location, network infrastructure, and individual service plans.

To get a better understanding of Teksavvy's current client reviews, outages history, and brand reputation, I recommend visiting their official website, independent review platforms, and technology forums to read recent customer testimonials and gather insights into their service reliability and customer satisfaction.
