I have been a customer for almost ten years with almost no issues. Any issues that have occurred are either the fault of Rogers doing unplanned maintenance or me entering a serial number of a modem incorrectly. Any time I have called, the staff have been helpful and gone the extra mile for me. I have tried their new TV service without any issues. I have switched my mom over to them from Telnet Communications/worldcom and she has had nothing but good service. As a network support technician with over 25 years experience, I can speculate with much certainty that a lot of the tech issues posted here are a result of a cheap router/cabling, routers with old firmware, bad firewall settings, or incorrectly configured QoS settings on routers. Some may be due to old area infrastructure, but that number is likely low. There also may be unresolved interference cases too which can usually be fixed by filters or reconfiguring Wi-Fi channels. There also may be some cheap Wi-Fi boosters at fault as well. Don't always blame the isp because there's lots of other contributors to bad service. I am about to switch her over to TekTalk with no concerns at all.
