We ordered Internet service and 2 ported phone numbers from Yak.

The internet router got here and the power supply was dead. We had a spare PS with the same exact specs and polarity so plugged that in. It didn't matter because the router wouldn't connect to the Internet.

Since Yak couldn't or wouldn't do anthing for a week and a half, we cancelled the Internet portion and went back to Bell.

On a Bell router, we put the two Yak-supplied ATA's, one for each number. Neither number worked right, with extreme prejudice, for about 3 weeks.

An _extremely_ rude and/or stu*** CSR did her best to drive me nuts (you know the ones: they're either bored or decided they don't like you so they act as idiotic as possible to get you to swear at them so they can hang up). Just to belabor the point, she kept telling me it was Bell's problem, despite my repeatedly (like 7-8 times) telling her that it was one of the SPA's acting up (at the time it would chatter away continuously even though the phone was on hook), refused to transfer me to another agent, and claimed her supervisor didn't want to talk to me. And outright said that, as long as the service was working right that very minute there was no problem, despite it being off for hours at a time several times that day (and the day before and the day before...).

A couple days later we got a CSR who wasn't a stu*** cunt, who told us that we couldn't have two phone numbers on one DSL line, because they just used one set of ports.

It took them 3 weeks to figure that out ? How many customers do they have ? And not one previously had wanted 2 ATA's on one internet connection ? seriously, wtf.

Personally I've had it. We've cancelled one of the phone lines (mine). the other one's up, but only because of the cost of transferring a phone number.

So, Yak started off with Internet and 2 phone lines ordered and, through sheer incompetence and malice, ended up with just one phone line.

Your mileage may vary.
