VOIPO is an American-based telecommunications provider with headquarters in Irvine, California. The company was formed in 2006.

VOIPO’s tag phrase is “the likable phone company”. Their service region covers the 48 contiguous states and Alberta, British Colombia, Ontario, and Manitoba.

VOIPO offers numerous services including Residential VOIP, Business VOIP, Cloud VOIP, Reseller VOIP, and Hosted PBX.

For this review, we will focus on their business VOIP services and see how they stack up with other top business VOIP providers.

Both the home VOIP and Small Business VOIP Plans are identical in features and pricing. The monthly price is $15 USD per month ($18 CAD) however, you can purchase a two-year plan and have the monthly price dropped to $6.21 per month. If you go with a  one-year plan it comes in at a monthly average of about $12.41.

VOIPO offers unlimited minutes with over forty features included in the $15 monthly charge. Unlimited use is capped at 5,000 minutes before the cost becomes 1.9 cents per minute.

Call waiting, portable VOIP devices, softphone access, three-way calling, call forwarding, call blocking, advanced voicemail, voicemail notification by email, voicemail notification by SMS, unlimited speed dial, a free inbound SIP address, and do-not-disturb options.

A cool feature is they add 60 minutes of free international calls monthly and free use of equipment (telephone adapter, softphone solution). There are no installation or activation fees.

They also have a stellar support system with phone support, email support, and live chat support. Questions are answered quickly regardless of the day of the week or even time. We received responses to questions within an hour on a Sunday evening. The phone support is listed as 8 am – 6 pm.

In our review of VOIPO, we like this company and appreciate their openness to the exact costs down to the cent as well as listing all the features and not hiding any hidden fees or 0overage charges. They are very open to everything. Any extra charges are spelled out clearly.

It is worth noting that the home VOIP and small business VOIP services are the same product. There is no difference and as such no real advantages for the business owner. Having said that, their home VOIP service is exceptional, with awesome service. But the real value comes only if you get the two-year plan and knock the monthly price down to $6.21.
