Reply to: Phone Power
We had been using Phone Power for a few months - switched from Bell. There are some things that you have to get used to, such as takes some time to complete the call after being dialled (not a biggie) in some occasions there was some crackling noise in the conversations. Though after troubleshooting that with Phone Power support managed to configure my Internet modem to prioritize VoIP calls - which seems to have improved quality quite a lot. In all you have to get used to using it - but the true is the savings are great and features are quite a lot. I do like the fact that I have an app with my home phone, so I can pick-up or make calls or get voice-mails from my Galaxy. We will be moving soon, and with that my internet connection will change - we'll see if that has any impact. Overall we are happy with the service, and based on the type of use we have (some Canadian long distance calling but mainly is local calling) we have not got complains. Just get used to have some quirks here and there; though that seems to be with all VoIP providers.
