Lightspeed is an internet service provider which focuses its services in Western Canada. Having been founded in 1994, Lightspeed has progressed very well over the past two decades. Lightspeed’s headquarters can be found at 200 – 6960 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, British Columbia, V5J 4J2.

Lightspeed has been voted as the number one internet service provider in Western Canada, and prides itself on providing quick customer support! They make their customer support readily available Monday to Friday and even allow users support hours on the weekend, which is something other service providers should also be doing.

Lightspeed offers an ADSL plan that is available only in British Columbia and Alberta. This plan comes with a maximum download speed of 5 mbps, and an upload speed of 1 mbps. This plan costs $3.95 per month. If we were to compare this plans to price to another prominent internet service provider such as Yak, which offers six-megabyte download and one-megabyte upload plan for $23.95, we wouldn’t find much of a difference. However, we have to look at the usage cap! Bell allows its customers to use a maximum of 60 GB’s for this plan; while Lightspeed offers an unlimited cap. While the big telcos are hiking rates and setting very low caps. Just this fact is enough to say without a doubt that Lightspeed is offering a very reasonable price for the price they are charging.

Lightspeed is also offering a promotion currently which lasts until the first of April. If you opt into

Lightspeed service now, the activation fee of $75.00 will be completely waived. Furthermore, the network system fee of $4.95 a month will also be waived! Finally, you can choose to have unlimited bandwidth for only an additional cost of $5.00 per month! The price itself for what you were getting was great, but these incentives make it even better!

Lightspeed also takes great strides to make sure that your connection is a dedicated one and there is no interference from another Lightspeed user that may be your neighbor! Another great thing is that if you have a working phone line, you can use that to run your Lightspeed connection. This usually costs a one-time fee of $37.00 dollars, however, if you opt into Lightspeed service before April, you can get this incentive for free!

All in all, Lightspeed is offering perhaps one of the best deals a person can find in terms of the internet. The only disappointment we came across was that it is not available across the entirety of Canada. The incentives and discounts are certainly what customers are looking for, and Lightspeed comes up big with its generous incentives.
