Review from Canadianisp.ca

I am a loyal customer with Sunsonic phone service. I was pleased with its service for over the past 5 years. Lately the service had been poor, like service interruptions, dropped calls, bad reception, etc. etc. Besides, I also subscribed to Sunsonic Long Distance package on an annual basis, and had a remarkable service again for over the past 5 years. Now, I had already subscribed for this year, but lately that service is out of order for a long time.
I am waiting for their service to improve in another six month_s time before taking any action.

Terrible. No service. No consideration. Just have no idea of what they should do.

Reasonably good service as compared to big companies. Prices are nice and speed is good too. Customer Service needs improvement, as response to billing issues take long time. Incurred some billing issues so far as an online payment was not credited.

Im a sunsonic user for over 5 years now and frankly iv had no major issues at all. Yes my modem did break down 2 years down the line but that too was replaced by them for $40 when the price on Amazon for the same modem was around 120$. 1 thing that i noticed is that the longer you stick around with them the better service they provide to retain you, they said theyll be coming up with new plans in a month or two, hope it gets better for cheaper ;)

SunSonic was founded back in 2004 and has over a decade of experience in providing telecommunication services in Canada. It was not until 2006 however that SunSonic began offering broadband services alongside their VoIP services. Their headquarters can be found at 100 Dynamic Drive, Suite 202, Toronto, ON, Canada, M1V 5C4.

By adding broadband services to their repertoire they were able to mix and match with their VoIP services to create economical bundles for their customers. Currently, SunSonic has devoted the majority of its resources to provide internet services in Ontario; however, they claim to have plans for further expansion. Let us now review SunSonic’s basic DSL plan for residential usage!

SunSonic offers primarily unlimited bandwidth plans, and their basic DSL plan is no exception. Before we discuss the specifics of this plan we have to understand how unlimited the internet may or not be an incentive. For users who are constantly streaming, download and playing online video games unlimited internet is a perfect choice. However, the average user in Canada consumes around 170 GBs per month on aggregate. There are many internet service providers who offer economical plans with caps of up to 300 GBs, which may be a better choice than opting into expensive unlimited bandwidth internet.

SunSonic’s DSL 7 plan which has a download speed of 7 Mbps and an upload speed of 1 Mbps costs a total of $37.95 per month. This plan is also offered with unlimited bandwidth! This price is extremely generous if you compare it with other prominent internet service providers like Distributel, which offers a 6 Mbps plan with unlimited usage for $40 per month!

The disappointing factor about SunSonic was its secrecy. Set up fees, dry loop fees, activation charges, and many other expenditures were not made readily available on the website. Upon speaking to a SunSonic representative, we were told these prices are made available only to potential customers, and existing ones. The positive thing, however, is that SunSonic offers this plan on a non-contract basis which should alleviate any potential concern a user should have when looking into SunSonic service.

Not many internet service providers offer unlimited packages for such a low cost. SunSonic is definitely headed in the right direction when it comes to pricing. However, we would find it more feasible if they shared more information about additional charges on their website. Furthermore, it would be wonderful if came up with limited bandwidth plans that are just as economical as their unlimited plans!
