Vybe networks were founded back in 2001 and began as a home-based operation for internet access. Ever since they have branched out into the telecommunications world at a brisk pace and are now providing a multitude of services to their clients. Their services include web hosting, marketing, internet services, VoIP access, and web design. The important question, however, is whether or not the specifics plans of these services accommodate the needs of customers not only in terms of quality but in terms of finance as well.
The headquarters of Vybe networks can be found at #203-100 Queen Street East, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M5C 1S6. Let us now review one of their residential internet plans to grasp a better picture of their level of commitment.
The most basic internet plan they offer comes with a price tag of $36.00 per month. This plan has download speeds of up to 6 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 1 Mbps. The pricing on this plan is way too expensive in comparison to other providers who offer the same plan with a smaller price tag. Worldline offers an unlimited internet plan for only $29.95, while TekSavvy offers a 7 Mbps plan with a cap of 150 GB per month for only $27.00 per month. The difference in these prices is much too high to ignore and Vybe networks definitely need to rework the pricing on their plans to better accommodate their clientele. Having said that we can see they are working on providing clear and concise information about all their plans and fees, which is always nice to see. Below we replicate the detail of all Home Internet plans.
Service Monthly
ADSL Residential 6Mb/1Mb $36
ADSL Residential Lightspeed 10Mb/1Mb $43
ADSL Residential Lightspeed 15Mb/1Mb $49
ADSL Residential Lightspeed 25Mb/10Mb $61
ADSL Residential Lightspeed 50Mb/10Mb $89
You could use your own ADSL modem or purchase or rent from them. Dry loop available - add $10 and up depending on location.
You'll also have to add $7 for 10Mb upload on Lightspeed 1Mb service
If you like to have a static IP then add $5 with custom reverse lookup
There is a $100 installation fee on Lightspeed installs or speed change, PLUS factor a $20 install fee on a dry loop if required.
Vybe Networks' pricing is certainly not off by a lot when compared to other providers. However all the additional fees, install, dry-loop and tax for higher speeds make them less compelling. To make themselves more feasible to customers, Vybe Networks needs to look over these specific issues and resolve them to provide better pricing strategy, maybe add Cable to their service and avoid extra fees typical with DSL services.
