Voicetubes is a telecommunications provider that offers both residential and business VOIP services. They are based out of Toronto, Ontario.

The company’s mission is to provide high-quality international phone service at affordable prices. Voicetubes was founded in 2014.

In our review of Voicetubes, we will look at their residential phone services and see if they offer the average consumer any value. We will also see if they compare favorably with GoneVoips.ca’s top residential VOIP providers.

Voicetubes offers two main residential phone plans. The US/Canada Unlimited Plan is a commonly constructed residential plan. Voicetube’s version of this plan comes in at $10.99 per month. Included, as the name suggests, is the unlimited US and Canada calls to both home and cell phone lines. A definite plus in you can talk freely with any other Voicetube subscriber in the World.

Meanwhile, the World Unlimited Plan is only a modest price increase of $12.99 per month. As with most VOIP companies that claim unlimited worldwide calling, that Worldwide option is limited to 1/5 of the World’s countries. In Voicetube’s case, we get a whopping 45 countries, which is more than the average 40 of other VOIP firms but short of the 206 countries found on the Planet Earth. And it is 44 in their case as companies insist on counting Puerto Rico as a country.

Both plans include normal features such as voicemail, voicemail-to-email, call forwarding, caller ID, call waiting and the ability to use on your smartphone. Adding a fax as an option is an additional $2 per month for both plans. You can also choose an area code from anywhere in the World which is pretty cool though not unique to Voicetubes.

They do offer a SIP cordless phone with a handset and the main base for $99 and a telephone adapter for $55. You are not required to buy these but we are unsure if the service will work properly with the adapter you have laying around at home.

There are no activation or set-up fees nor any contracts whatsoever.

In our review of Voicetubes, we find this company to be an average VoIP Home Phone provider with just enough features to be relevant. The pricing is near to decent with the most value on the Worldwide plan. But if you only need to call Canada, then the $10.99 price is still reasonable.

We love that there are no activation or set-up fees. In addition, there are no contracts and you can use this on your smartphone making it a company we would recommend you consider if you are looking for a budget option that is light on features. If you need the hardware the cost goes up significantly, although we love the retro cordless phone (though not the expensive retro prices).
