UniTelecom doesn’t offer much in regards to its history and beginnings. They get straight to the point about what they have to offer and how much they offer it for.

UniTelecom provides its services currently in Quebec, however, they plan on expanding throughout Canada. UniTelecom provides a wonder of services that include residential internet services and phone services, as well as business internet and phone services. UniTelecom provides these services in standalone methods as well as bundled packages with added benefits of decreased pricing and other features.

The headquarters of Unitelecom can be found at 6520 Beaubien Est, #107, Montréal, H1M 1A9. Let us now review one of UniTelecoms bread and butter residential phone plans to see how they fare against the competition in the telecommunications world.

UniTelecom offers a residential phone plan which comes with unlimited local minutes and 100 minutes long distance within Canada and the US for a price tag of $19.95 per month. The pricing on this plan is certainly not competitive, to say the least. VoIPly offers an unlimited North America calling plan that comes with an extensive list of features for the meager price of $7 per month. There are many other VoIP providers such as Yak that offer more economic phone plans in comparison to UniTelecom. VoIP Much offers an unlimited local phone plan that comes with over 3000 minutes of long-distance dialing for only $9.45 per month.

The very disappointing factor about UniTelecom phone services we noticed was the utter lack of information. Besides a few features that were mentioned, we noticed that UniTelecom made no effort of providing terms and conditions on any of their phone plans, thus we can’t truly tell whether or not this plan is unlimited even for local calling. Furthermore, UniTelecom didn’t provide a comprehensive list of their international calling rates. Furthermore, no mention was made of any additional add-on features such as fax to email services or other prominent features. Voicemail to email services are also not mentioned or incorporated into this plan, however, basic voicemail services are.

All in all UniTelecom VoIP services need a steroid boost to get anywhere near some of the competition they have to face. The pricing is exponentially against the favor of UniTelecom when compared to numerous other VoIP providers. Furthermore, the features need a complete rework and additional options need to be provided. However, the most important change UniTelecom would need to make is providing their terms and conditions in an easily accessible place on their website.
