Tough Country Communications prides itself on providing wireless internet throughout various regions in Alberta and British Columbia. Rural regions are very hard to offer any sort of connectivity, either wireless or cabled thus is always welcome to see options for Canadians in farming communities or other rural areas.

Tough Country Communications takes on a real challenge when trying to provide internet connectivity throughout these regions. Tough Country Communications claims that it is continuously growing.  To name through 2015 was focusing on redundancies within their infrastructure which give more uptime to their customers.

The headquarters of Tough Country Communications can be found at 949 Waterton Ave, Box 2528, Pincher Creek, AB, T0K 1W0. Let us now review one of Tough Country Communications flagship internet plans to gauge their commitment to their customers.

Tough Country Communications offers a residential internet plan which comes with download speeds of up to 10 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 2 Mbps, with awesome unlimited bandwidth usage. This plan, called "Basic" comes with a price tag of $65 per month.

The next plan is called "Premium" with 15 Mbps download and 5 Mbps of upload, again with unlimited data usage at $100 per month. The top plan is called "Ultimate" with 25 Mbps Download and 5 Mbps upload, again unlimited though with a rather taxing price tag of $150 per month.

There aren’t any additional charges to discuss with Tough Country Wireless, except for the very important ones. The setup fees are priced at a onetime fee of $325.00 while other wireless providers implement around $200.00 installation fees.

Tough Country Communication does offer nice speeds and a plan that is more in tune with urban areas, but it certainly isn’t economical by any means. The pricing for the higher speed plans is a tad bit too high and the setup fees could be trimmed down a bit.

However that doesn’t mean their brave endeavor to provide wireless internet across rural areas means nothing, in fact, the services they provide in terms of quality are perhaps the best we’ve seen.
