Tekcorner is a Canadian telecommunications company. Tekcorner has headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. The company was founded in 2000.

Tekcorner state on their “About Us” page that they are the only Canadian company to offer all four of the following services: High-Speed Internet, Home Phone Canadian IPTV and World IPTV.

For our review of Tekcorner, we will examine their Internet packages and see how they measure up against GoneVoip’s top Internet service providers in Canada.

Tekcorner provides cable and DSL/fiber connectivity options.

The cable packages they provide are only available in Ontario and Quebec and have slightly different options depending on which province you reside in.

The entry cable package varies slightly in name and download speeds between Ontario and Quebec. In Quebec, the entry package is the Cable 10. The Cable 10 offers download speeds of up to 10 MBPS and upload speeds of up to 1 MBPS. Meanwhile, in Ontario, the entry package is called the Cable 15. The Cable 15 offers download speeds of up to 15 MBPS and upload speeds of up to 10 MBPS. Both are the same price at $39.99 making the differences rather substantial.

Whether in Quebec or Ontario, the next two packages are both identical in price, features, and speeds.

The Cable 30 costs $49.99 and offers download speeds of up to 30 MBPS and upload speeds of up to 10 MBPS.

The Cable 60 is by far the most expensive at $56.99 per month. Download speeds can reach up to 60 MBPS with upload speeds remaining at speeds of up to 10 MBPS.

All cable packages have unlimited data.

There are some towns in Ontario where the Cable 60 is not available and is replaced by the Cable 55 (download speeds at 55 MBPS and upload speeds at 10 MBPS). Those towns are Belleville, Brockton, Burlington, Chatham, Cornwall, Essex, Hamilton, Kingston, Kingsville, Leamington, Lindsay, Milton, Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake, North Bay, Oakville, Peterborough, St. Catherines, Sarnia, and Windsor.

Tekcorner also has a DSL package called the DSL 6. This checks in at $19.99 and offers download speeds of 6 MBPS and upload speeds of 800 KBPS.

As for fiber packages, Tekcorner has four options: the Fiber 10, Fiber 15, Fiber 25 and Fiber 50. The Fiber 10 offers download speeds of up to 10 MBPS and upload speeds at 1 MBPS for $32.99. The Fiber 15 increases download speeds to 15 MBPS and keep upload speeds at 1 MBPS for $34.99.

The Fiber 25 is $44.99 with download speeds at 25 MBPS and upload speeds at 10 MBPS for $54.99. The Fiber 50 comes in at $49.99 with download speeds at 50 MBPS and upload speeds at 10 MBPS. All fiber packages also provide unlimited data.

For fiber and DSL packages, dry loop fee is $8, filters are $4.99 each, a static IP is $4 per month and MLPPP is $4 per month. Fiber modems are the Modem 2 Wire (speeds 6-15 MBPS) which is available for purchase at $75.99 and the Smart RG (Speeds 15-50 MBPS) is $99.99. Either are available for rent at $3 per month.

Depending on which plan is selected, there are two modems available for rent at $3 per month or for purchase. The Motorola Surfboard SB5101 (Speeds 6-10 MBPS) is available for purchase at $59.99. The Cisco DPC3008 (Speeds 10-120 MBPS) comes in at $79.99.

In our review of Tekcorner, we came away impressed with the multiple plans and types of plans offered as well as the clarity in pricing. We were impressed that they broke down the specific difference by province, and overall had no issues finding any information we needed. Pricing is reasonable and comparable with top GoneVoip ISPs, so we can say you are likely going to get a good deal with TekCorner Internet!
