SlamHang was founded back in 2009 which makes it a generally young ISP in comparison to other prominent service providers. Their headquarters can be found at 150 Barnett #105 Dollard-des-Ormeaux QC H9G 3C7 Canada.

Slamhang only provides internet services, making it one of the few companies that do not link VoIP services with their internet services. SlamHang also is one of the few service providers to offer internet services across eight provinces in Canada. Most providers stick to two or three provinces only!

Let us now review SlamHang’s basic residential DSL plan. The DSL 6 lite plan of SlamHang offers a download speed of 6 MBPS with an upload speed of 800 kbps. These are the most common speeds for a basic residential plan provided by ISPs. The DSL 6 lite plan has a cap of 150 GBs per month with an overage charge of $0.25 per GB with no limit on extra usage. This plan comes out at a grand total of $26.99 per month which is a very economical price. Yak offers a residential 6 mbps plan for $29.99 which has a cap of only 60 GBs per month with an overage charge of $0.50 per GB.

SlamHang offers larger values for a small price which at the end of the day is what a customer is looking for.  To top it all off, these plan comes on a non-contract basis which is a great plus point for customers. SlamHang offers an unlimited usage time between 2am and 8am. This is a very important incentive that is becoming a must-have for any internet service provider. Any downloading done during these times is not tallied against the total bandwidth count of your month.

An important aspect missing form SlamHang’s website was the inclusion of a terms and conditions policy. There was no way to find out whether or not these unlimited values are not subject to an excessive usage policy! Dry loop fees also apply to those customers that do not have an active telephone line. This fee starts at $5.00 per month and changes depending on your band rate.

SlamHang offers great incentives and most importantly it offers peak hour time which customers can avail free of cost. Other service providers have been known to add an additional flat charge per month for opting into the unlimited timing incentive. Apart from that, we were rather disappointed to not find a terms and conditions page where we could further investigate any hidden charges.
