SkyChoice is a very young telecommunications service provider having been founded in 2014. Their headquarters can be found at 505B Pinegrove Rd, Oakville, ON, L6K 2C2. Due to the fact SkyChoice is relatively new on the market, not much is known about them, and they do not have much history. With that said, recently SkyChoice was kicked-out from the CCTS; that may say all you ever wanted to know!

However, they do pride themselves on providing “cost-efficient” solutions which can solve problems for any variety of customers. SkyChoice has been known to offer promotions to students to provide them with feasible services so they can complete assignments while not being burdened by an excessive bill. Let us now review one of SkyChoices' bread and butter residential VoIP plans to see how it stacks up against the competition!

SkyChoice offers a basic residential VoIP plan which allows for unlimited local calling at the price of $10 per month. This price is substantially high considering the many other viable options that are available to customers in terms of inexpensive service.  For example, Yak also offers an unlimited local calling plan which comes with 200 free minutes to call throughout North America, for only $5 per month! That is a difference of half in terms of pricing, and SkyChoice certainly can’t match that! SkyChoice not only gets beaten out by other local plans, b North America wide plans as well! PhonePower offers an unlimited North America wide calling plan for only $5.99 per month!

The international calling rates that Sky choice has to offer might be the only form of redemption left for Skychoice! Using Skychoice users can call Pakistan at an international calling rate of 13.6 cents per minute. With PhonePower the user can call Pakistan for only 6.8 cents per minute! This very stark difference might be the nail in the coffin!

The features that Skychoice has to offer with this plan are true what sinks the ship for SkyChoice. There is only one feature added with this plan; Caller ID! There is no other feature beyond that which is inclusive of the plan. No voicemail, fax services, call waiting or holding, or conference calling, among many of the other very necessary features. Furthermore, no mention was made of a smart app either, thus smartphone users will definitely need to stick to the cordless phones they have in their homes instead!

All in all, GoneVoIP considers that Skychoice Home Phone doesn’t offer a reason to really be considered a great or even an average VoIP services provider. The included features list is far too short, the pricing is certainly too high and the international calling rates double of the ones seen elsewhere, and by a large margin. There are many other viable options rather than opting into SkyChoice VoIP services.
