Silo sucks!!!The sales rep told me that the Internet would work, called in had repairs done. After 1 year, still have no internet near 7pm and it isn't working. Paying for this and we have no internet can even use my phone for Facebook... I am using 3G right now. |

Silo Wireless is a rural broadband provider located in Southern Ontario - established in 2007 HQ in Burford, ON. Silo offers Wireless internet to rural areas and along with the services they also have a VoIP phone line.
In our Silo Wireless review, we found some of the typical VoIP features are available, such as Caller ID, voicemail to email and 3-way calling. The monthly price of $29.95 is expensive when compared to other providers with similar plans. You also have to factor a $69.95 one time fee as Activation and ATA (Adapter) fee, which Silo says it includes the shipping of the Adapter as well.
One thing to note is that Silo also supports sending and receiving faxes. Finally. Silo's Home Phone does support number porting and they do provide virtual numbers in other cities.
We were not able to verify the international long distance rates from Silo. So at this time, we can't attest if these are competitive or not. In any case, you are better off by asking Silo directly. We suggest you go with particular examples.
In all Silo Wireless could be seen as an interesting and appealing alternative to rural areas in Ontario. However, we believe pricing is a little off and could be worked upon to enhance affordability.
