Réseau Picanoc is a Quebec rural wireless-based internet and telephony provider. Picanoc provides services in the Western Quebec region. Providing an alternative for High-Speed access to otherwise remote and isolated rural communities. The service is provided with a Public/Private partnership, the public partners are the MRC of Pontiac and MRC of Vallée de la Gatineau and the CSHBO and Western Quebec school boards, incorporated as Connexion Fibre Picanoc inc. and registered with the CRTC as a non-dominant telecom. The private partner is Xittel, who operates a Wireless network in Trois-Rivières (Québec).
Let us focus now on Picanoc Home Phone review. Shall be noted Picanoc calls this, rightly so, IP Phone. Picanoc offers only one plan at $25 per month that comes with;
- Unlimited Quebec Long Distance Calling
- 4 Features: Voicemail, Caller ID, Call Waiting and Conference Call
- Free Installation
All other long-distance calls within North America, Canada included are rated at $0.04 per minute.
In final notes from our Picanoc Phone review, we can say that is an overall good value package, the monthly rate could be improved, lowered a bit.
Also, why Quebec Unlimited calling only? It is not much different to offer Canada wide Unlimited calling for the same price, and the Quebec communities will be much better serviced. It is a little flat on Features, but Picanoc does give the main ones, such as Caller ID and Voicemail.
