People Line Telecom is a Canadian telecommunications provider with headquarters in Vancouver, British Colombia. The company provides residential VoIP and multi-line business PBX service bundles for businesses.

People Line Telecom does not require contracts for use of the service. They also offer 24-7 customer service.

One interesting feature is that they don’t store any credit card information as all payments transactions go through PayPal.

In our review of People Line Telecom, we will focus on their business phone VoIP services.

People Line Telecom states that their business phone, specifically the virtual PBX services, remove constraints which are imposed on by other conventional systems. Examples they cite are extension availability anywhere in the World, full access to all PBX features regardless of location and calls between extensions are free of charge.

Their hosted Virtual PBX service (VPBX) is unique as most companies have expensive on-premise conventional PBX hardware. As the name suggests, VPBX is all managed from their network centers in Los Angeles and Vancouver. With this feature, the company can pass on decent savings to a business seeking VOIP services.

Another cool feature is they provide a three-day demo phone line that allows a business to test out the service for 72 hours prior to committing.

People Line Telecom has an Office I-Line as its only VoIP business line option. This service checks in at $19.95 per month. You have the option to install IP phones and gateways locally or remotely, with each offering a unique extension or six-digit number. All calls between these devices are peer-to-peer free calls. Also included are managed gates-keeper and soft-switch services to companies that require VoIP services without the cost of managing and developing their own VoIP systems. Managed soft-switch and VOIP/FOIP gates-keeper services are suited to businesses of any size.

Each line includes one personal phone number and one personal fax number. Some features include call display, caller ID block, call forwarding, conference calls, call hold and transfer and voice mail.

Also included are unlimited local calling and an optional Global I-Line long-distance calling plans. There is no activation fee.

In our review of People Line Telecom, we thought they offer a pretty good deal on their singular business plan. We wish they had a few more options for plans for a business; however, the one plan is fairly decent – provided you are not calling outside local numbers. Global rates are not listed as they essentially have a calling card plan set up for global calls, meaning you just deposit money and use it until it runs out.

Overall People Line Telecom is worth considering, but there are better options out there. Just check out our list of the top three business providers.
