They're some of the usual VoIP features such as voicemail and caller id and some neat additions such as fax-to-email. However, MyOwn Telcom Evo plan does not support Emergency calls. EVO plan is solely used to make long distance calls, like a calling card, so you actually use a generic phone number.
If you need a fully Home Phone you need to go with the more expensive JaFone plan. It includes all services such as 911, 311, 411, 511 & 811. JaFone plan provides voicemail transcription as well, music on hold, conference calling, BYOD, call hold (by way of phone), caller ID name, web management, do not disturb (by way of phone)
A JaFone account can also hold several numbers, which can be local or toll-free numbers. Two phones can be registered on the same account; both will make simultaneous calls, and both phones will ring on incoming calls
MyOwn Telecom also provides call recording and an API for integrating other operations.
The JaFone costs $14.95 a month and is coming with 500 inbound minutes included, which is to receive calls PLUS 1,000 outbound minutes, to make calls. This concept of inbound and outbound may be confusing for the average user. The majority of plans do come with the allotted minutes, regardless if it is receiving or making calls.
