MNSi internet was founded two decades ago back in September of 1995, giving them veteran status in the world of telecommunications. MNSi has a vibrant website with most of the necessary information in big block letters which are easy to reach, and not many links need to be opened.

This is admirable considering how some providers make it hard to reach the pricing page of their internet plans! MNSi specifically provides services in VoIP and internet solutions only and has been doing it now for over 20 years.

Their headquarters can be found at 3363 Tecumseh Rd E, Windsor, ON, N8W 1H4, Canada.

Whether or not the pricing and quality of the internet plans that MNSi has to offer are up to par in today’s world, is a question we will now review!

MNSi offers a DSL basic plan which comes with download speeds of up to 6 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 800 kbps. This plan has a usage limit of 25 GBs per month, which in all honesty is quite minimal. The pricing however on this plan totals out $29.95 per month! Now the pricing on this plan is substantially poor if compared to some of the more prominent internet providers such as TekSavvy, or WorldLine. TekSavvy offers an internet plan which as download speeds of up to 7 Mbps and a usage cap of 150 GB for only $27.99 per month! The price is lower, and the usage cap is much higher, and MNSi has no means to justify it. WorldLine takes it one step further when compared to MNSi; both plans are priced at $29.95, but WorldLine’s 6 Mbps plan actually has unlimited usage!

MNSi also has Fibre plans with unlimited usage and with the following characteristics;

  1. Fiber 15 only available as a bundle with Home Phone. 15 Mbps Down & Up @ $59.95 per month
  2. Fiber 50 to 50 Mbps Download and Upload @ $65.00 per month
  3. Fiber 100 with 100 Mbps Download and Upload @ $75.00 per month
  4. Fiber 300 with 300 Mbps Download and Upload @ $100.00 per month
  5. Fiber 1000 with blasting 1,000 Mbps Download and Upload @ $125.00 per month

The Fiber plans are only available in certain areas of Windsor, so you better check with MNSi first if there is the service for your area.

For the DSL MNSi also implements overage charges, as well, which in all honesty are just way too high! The overage rate is at 1 dollar per GB! That is four times higher than what the average rate for overage charges is! Another upsetting fact about this specific plan is that there is no option to have it upgraded to an unlimited bandwidth rate; hence customers would have to opt into much more expensive plans to meet their bandwidth needs!

MNSi may not be the provider that you are looking for in any real sense; however, there are many more viable options out there. MNSi is charging far too much money for their plan, as well as the overage charge. The installation fee is waived, however, the activation fee of $50.00 is still applied, and it doesn’t count as a deposit!

At the end of the day, MNSi isn’t at all a competitive ISP and shouldn’t be given much thought when comparing with other providers!

They have exactly 1 redeeming quality: they aren't bell, or cogeco. On every other point you can expect sub-par service, rude customer service, and dropped connections.
