Kwic Reviews and Plans
|Monthly Fee||Setup Fee||Other Fees||Long Distance Rates|
KWIC has a long history, dating back to 1983! KWIC Started as a computer shop, offering services as a software developer and system integrator. Eleven years later they started offering internet dial-up services. KWIC Head Office is located in Simcoe, Ontario.
KWIC offers two home phone plans, with the only difference being the price and calling capabilities.
- Canada Plan: at $17.95/month includes calling all of Canada, but YT, NT & NU
- North America Plan: at $22.95/month includes the call to all of North America but YT, NT, NU, Guam, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and Alaska
Both plans include five of the most common Home Phone features, to name:
- Caller ID
- Call Waiting
- Call Forwarding
- Enhanced 911
The additional fees for either plan are;
- VoIP Adapter (ATA): $45
- Number Porting: $25
- Activation Fee: $35
If you happen to be a KWIC Internet customer so you get a rather meager $3 discount on either home phone plan. There is no way to verify the Long Distance rates, you'll have to call KWIC Sales.
The feature lists pale when in comparison for example with Phone Power, which has over 30 features. Additionally Phone Power North America calling plan comes at $7.40 per month; that is $18.55 on saving per month or $222,60 a year!
Without a doubt, we can say there is nothing appealing about KWIC Home Phone plans. Both plans are overpriced, under-featured and below today's needs and want. Better to look elsewhere.
