IkTel is an ISP in the Niagara region in Ontario. ikTel is HQ in Niagara Falls, Ontario and established in 2008.
We found in our ikTel review the home phone system to be very basic and the Canada / USA plan is one of the most expensive in the Market! Is coming at $23.96 a month, compared to Phone Power at only $7.40 a month!
There is support for porting your phone number but is charged a fee of $25. On the positive ikTel does support BYOD or you can buy one from for about $110. They support the typical features such as voicemail, caller ID, and call forwarding; but lack some of the most advanced ones such as Smartphone integration.
By comparing ikTel international calling rates we see these are better than those of the traditional telecom but can be quite higher than those of the top long-distance providers.
In all ikTel is a regional ISP covering the Niagara region and offering an alternative; though comparing offering with the top providers reveals customers can get more for far less.
