Helo Reviews and Plans

Helo is a small VoIP phone provider located in the Eastern Townships, in Quebec. More precisely in the beautiful Town of Bromont. Helo is a new entrant in the telecommunications sector (business registered under Helo Voix et Communications) focusing on Home and Business Phone services.

In this review, we will look at Helo Home Phone service in detail. To begin we see there is only one plan for home (the other plan is called independent worker/work-from-home, which we will detail later, in another listing). 

The home phone from Helo is a flat monthly of $12 and includes:

• Unlimited Canada & the USA calling
• Call Waiting
• Call Display
• Three Way Calling
• Voicemail to Email
• International Call Blocking

We could not find a way to verify Helo's international long distance calling rates. It is not immediately clear, but it seems the Adapter is provided and shipped by Helo. It seems the Adapter is a free rental, though if you can cancel the service prior 12-months there is an extra charge. Helo's site does mention that for an additional $95 Helo would send you a pre-configured ATA - so it is a bit confusing what you get.

In concluding this Helo Home Phone review we find the features are underwhelming, the price point is okay for Canada and the USA calling. Though the most off-puting factor is the ordering process. Which to say that is confusing is an understament, for example we found the pricing and discounts may vary in Helo's French language page from Helo's English language page. Also we found some pages in their English language site do not exist at all. So it does not provide a good impression of the reliability nor of the services provided.
