GPN Networks is an internet service provider with HQ in Prairie, Alberta. GPN Networks was originally founded in 2005 as a company called ‘Whippet’. GPN Networks serves numerous communities in rural Alberta.

Wireless

• Wireless 5: 5 Mbps Down, 150 GB Usage at $49.95 month
• Wireless 10: 10 Mbps Down, 300 GB Usage at $69.95 month
• Wireless 20: 20 MBps Down, 400 GB Usage at $79.95 month
• Wireless 25: 25 Mbps Down, 500 GB Usage at $89.95 month
• Wireless 35: 35 Mbps Down, 700 GB Usage at $99.95 month

Fiber

• trueFiber25: Symmetric 25 Mbps, 200 GB Usage at $65 month
• trueFiber50: Symmetric 50 Mbps, 400 GB Usage at $75 month
• trueFiber75: Symmetric 75 Mbps, 500 GB Usage at $85 month
• trueFiber100: Symmetric 100 Mbps, 750 GB Usage at $95 month
• trueFiber300: Symmetric 300 Mbps, 1000 GB Usage at $125 month

While GPN does offer unlimited data usage, they also state they do not charge for over usage, which essentially throws out the data monthly usage. Having said that, they also state that they do reserve the right to do so (the charge for over-usage) if they “feel your usage is affecting others or if it has been an ongoing issue”. In the event of that occurrence, they will go ahead and charge $5 per GB for the overage. 

Furthermore, they still do have a fair usage policy in their terms and conditions which does not allow its customers to use the internet “24 hours a day downloading large files”. Furthermore, they state that during peak hours, GPN may manage your service to ensure that everyone is getting a stable, reliable connection. 

In our review of GPN Networks, we can’t help but wonder why GPN has such an unclear terminology in stating that the company both does and doesn’t charge for overages, depending on how they feel about the situation. Beyond that, GPN’s plans seem to be reasonable for a rural area but if you are thinking of using GPN's Fiber then compare it as still quite pricier than Gonevoip’s Top Internet Providers.
