Bravo Telecom is a Montreal, QC based ISP that also offers VoIP Phone as part of the services provided. The focus and target market is solely one of Quebec. In our Bravo Telecom review, we found the Home Phone package to be priced slightly higher than Gonevoip's top providers.

Bravo Telecom fees start to rack-up rather quickly; for example, it's a misfortune there is no support for BYOD, you have to buy Bravo's ATA adapter, that's a $50 fee. If you chose to rent the ATA then is $2.95 a month with a $20 deposit to start with. There is no mention of a few for porting your number. No mention of an activation fee at this time. Also when we tried to check for the Terms and Services the page was not found. That is never a good indication.

The calling plan in itself at $12.95 is a bit overpriced. Considering only offers unlimited local area calling and 200 minutes to Canada & USA. If we compare toVOIPo for example, at $7.70 a month with 3,000 minutes to Canada & USA we see the pricing from Bravo is abysmal. To have a comparable plan from Bravo Telecom you'll have to pay $30.95 monthly; which includes two lines but is only 1000 calling minutes!

In terms of features, Bravo Telecom Home Phone does have the usual VoIP features, such as Voicemail, Caller ID and 3-Way Conference Calling. But it lacks some of the most advanced features such as Smartphone app or calls screening.

In all Bravo Telecom residential phone is a missed opportunity to have a truly advanced and competitive Home Phone offer in the market. You are certainly better off looking elsewhere.
