Auracom is an internet services provider that offers DSL and dial-up services. Auracom is a Canadian company which is owned by IKANO Canada which in turn is owned by Ikano Communications, Inc., a Utah corporation. Their Canadian HQ is in Toronto, Canada.
Auracom serves all Canadian provinces as well as the United States. To see if they cover your specific area, you will have to enter your postal code on their website.
The company states they have residential packages starting for as little as $29.95 per month, but when I entered my address, the cheapest option which came up was for $44.95 per month. What is clearly displayed is that for that price you will be receiving 6 Mbps download speeds and .8 Mbps upload speeds.
Activation and setup fees range from $60 to $100, depending on who your phone subscriber is.
As for any overage charges, there is no specification in the terms of use agreement on how additional usage may be billed.
Upon calling Auracom for verification on the exact details of their plan (dry loop fees vs. actual plan price), we were left on hold for over an hour and were unable to confirm details.
