Atalk.ca was founded in and is currently based in Markham, Ontario Canada. Atalk provided telecommunication services in Toronto, Ontario which ranges from residential and commercial services for VoIP, internet services, and IP TV solutions. Atalk was acquired by Telehop and all Atalk customers were transitioned to Telehop or G3 Telecom services.

Atalk.ca made its initial start by providing long-distance services to North America! However with many years of success in the VoIP world, Atalk began its expansion, and currently offers internet plans and IP TV services as well. ATalk claims that they offer great long-distance rates, as well as long-distance plans. The headquarters of Atalk.ca were found at Unit 107 - 14 Wertheim Court Richmond Hill, Ontario L4B 3H7 Canada.

Atalk offered a Canada wide residential plan which has unlimited incoming and outgoing calling minutes in the entirety of Canada. This plan comes at a total of $9.95 and there is no installation or activation fee! However, the pricing on this plan is way too high considering the competition that Atalk has to deal with! VoIPo offers a North America wide plan that is also unlimited which only costs a total of $6.21 per month! Consider Atalk plan only offers unlimited dialing throughout Canada, and still has a higher price than VoIPo. Furthermore, PhonePower also offers an unlimited plan for the entirety of North America, which costs a total of a paltry $7.40 per month!  The unlimited North America plan from Atalk is coming at a steep $19.95 per month! Thus it is easy to say that Atalk certainly wasn’t aware of what the competition had in store for them!

In terms of features, Atalk offered all of the standard features, including fax capabilities which are certainly very promising. However, Atalk made no clear mention of any smart app for their VoIP services. Smart apps are necessary for the integration of modern-day devices into the services that businesses have to offer! The lack of a smart app is quite disappointing and hopefully, ATalk will have one ready soon!

In all honesty, the pricing was not as bad when compared to other Home Phone providers.  The more plans ATalk implements the more wrong they get it in terms of being competitive.

Furthermore, the lack of key information on the website was rather unsettling, and not much can be said except that this information must be made visible as soon as possible! There are many other viable options in terms of cheaper and highly reliable VoIP phone service in comparison to Atalk!
