AirVoi is a relatively new contender in the world of telecommunications having been founded in 2014. They have however built a comprehensive cloud-based infrastructure to meet the needs of their clientele. They offer their services in a variety of shapes including VoIP services for both residential and business needs, as well as internet services for businesses. AirVoi’s website is easy to navigate and very straightforward in terms of finding the various plans and their respective prices and features. The headquarters of AirVoi can be found at Suite 1000 - 10 Four Seasons Place, Toronto, Ontario, M9B 6H7. However they still need to be put to the test against other contenders, so without further wait, let us review one of AirVoi’s most prominent residential home phone VoIP solutions!

AirVoi offers 3 distinct home phone plans which are differentiated by the coverage. The three plans include unlimited local calling, unlimited Canada wide calling, as well as unlimited North America wide calling. Our focus will remain on the unlimited North America wide plan, which they offer at a price of $24.95 per month. The price is quite steep if compared to other reputable VoIP providers! For example, PhonePower also offers a North America wide plan for the low cost of only $5.99 per month. Furthermore, PhonePower has a truly unlimited plan while AirVoi’s “unlimited” plan has shortcomings.

Even though AirVoi advertises their plans as unlimited plans, they are not truly unlimited. After analyzing their fair usage policy, we noticed that all of their plans are based on a 3000 minute per monthly billing cycle limit. Going over this limit would result in overage charges – the overage charges, however, were not mentioned. AirVoi does, however, allow free calling between AirVoi customers themselves, but these minutes are also subject to the fair usage policy which only allows 3000 minutes per monthly billing cycle.

The features aren’t much to speak of considering most of the basic features which most VoIP providers offer are available. We did, however, notice a lack of any smartphone app, and considering AirVoi is a very recent endeavor we expected them to be more in tune with the needs of VoIP customers in this day and age.

AirVoi does offer flexibility in terms of giving potential customers the option to choose between different plans, however, all of the plans are certainly overpriced. Furthermore, AirVoi needs to rework its features structure to better accommodate the needs of today’s clientele, as well as provide a comprehensive list of their international calling rates!

In all, we believe AirVoi may be better off by focusing on Business phones and leaving Home Phone to the market leaders, such as VoIP Much or Phone Power.
