Aira Reviews and Plans

Aira Communications was a rural high-speed internet service provider that offered multiple plans for the Manitoba area. They were HQ in Dugald, Manitoba.

Aira took an interesting sales method of not advertising their prices online, except to say that their residential plans started at $49.95. They had three types of residential wireless broadband packages – basic, family and home office. Of those three, each one has an additional three tiers of pricing options. Again, they only let us know what the first-tier (the most basic) package starts at. They also state their family plans start at $79.95 and they offer 50+ GB of usage for data transfer. We also get 4 Mbps in the family plan instead of 3 Mbps.

The commercial plans did not state what their prices were. We also saw that their commercial plans come with 24/7/365 technical support, yet when we tried to call them we were unable to get through to anyone. Why Aira had chosen to only advertise some of their prices and not all of them is anyone’s guess, but it got marked as a negative for us. Perhaps this contributed to Aira's sudden demise. We have always advocated for full transparency by telecommunications providers.

However, we have no further basis for inquiring about their whereabouts nor services as nothing is listed online beyond what we have mentioned here. We also tried to call them but unfortunately, there was no answer. We are always wary of a company which doesn’t answer the phone when we call. Your experience may be different when trying to reach them; from our side, we have a limited opinion on Aira Communications services at this time.
