ACN is a global telecommunications conglomerate providing services in North America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific. ACN was established in 1993 with Head Quarters in Concord, North Carolina. ACN's Canadian office is in Montreal, Quebec.
ACN has two Digital Home Phone plans:
- The World Plan Calling to 80+ countries coming at a whopping $19.99 providing unlimited calling minutes. The service does come with some 18 features, such as Caller ID and Voicemail. Shall be noted the unlimited minutes in this plan do not apply if calling to Bangladesh, the minutes are then limited to 1,500 minutes.
- The North America Plan Calling to Canada, US & Mexico at $14.99 - same features as the World Plan
Both ACN plans are subject to the Acceptable Use Policy. Which based on close examination it reads:
So not a truly unlimited plan per se, and maybe more limited depending on where you are calling.
If we compare this plan to Phone Power, for example, we found ACN to be more expensive and lacks some of the refined features. For example, being able to receive the fax as PDFs documents.
Their world calling Digital Home Phone service plan is on the very expensive spectrum, it includes the same 3,000 minutes to over 80 worldwide destinations.
For either plan, ACN implements a barrage of fees. For example, you may get ACN Premium Technical Support $14.99 a month. These fees could be waived if you transfer your phone number.
In all, we give kudos to ACN for being upfront with regards to the high flying fees it implements. But on the other hand, fees add-up and are not competitive in today's home phone market. Simply put, there's better and there's cheaper.
