Totally thrilled with my new AEBC setup and it couldn_t have gone smoother.

Finally dumped Telus and planned the switch to AEBC at the end of the Telus billing period. I signed up for the 30Mb cable package, paying 3 months in advance. They did the billing and charged to my VISA card the same day I talked with the salesman on the phone. I also setup for billing to my card, so it_s all going to be automatic. I did that with Telus without any trouble.

AEBC sent me the modem by Canada Post (cheaper shipping option) and it arrived as expected. I already had my own wireless router to add to the mix.

The Shaw guy arrived at the arranged time and fixed the cable outlets to reverse the changes Telus made and we plugged in the modem. It worked, so he took off. Then I added my wireless box and that works great. I_m getting 35Mb download speed on ethernet and at least 30Mb on the wireless.

Price on this is $40/month and they say it_s a 2 year price guarantee, so I_m hoping that sticks.
As part of the package, I didn_t have to pay for the modem, installation or any other setup fees, so I estimate that saved me a couple hundred dollars.
It_s a solid connection from what I_ve seen so far so, no complaints from me.
