Reply to: Velcom
I was considering an account with Velcom as my current internet supplier (Teksavvy) has increased their fees to customers. This is apparently in response to the CRTC reversing their decision to cut fees for third party suppliers and their customers. I decided not to go with Velcom because they don't offer customers a bundled package of internet & voip phone service, you cannot get both at a discounted price. One also has to pay the dsl dry loop fee even tho one has the phone service as well. When one tallies up the total for all services the monthly fee is only a few dollars less than what I am currently paying for. No real saving to be had.
The only way I can see this provider being worthwhile would be to purchase just the internet & nothing else...a 50dsl would be $40 + $7 dry loop fee totaling $47 mnthly.
