Reply to:	Distributel I signed up with Distributel for Internet and Home Phone via VOIP (with transfer of phone number from previous provider requested). They communicated to me that a technician would contact me on a certain date to complete the set up. Receiving no call or visit, I called customer service. They tranferred me 3x times and I was finally explained that I could of just connected everything myself when I received the equipment... When I did so, Internet worked fine but when I tried the home phone, I discovered they assigned me a new number and didn't port my current number as I requested... I called right, got transferred multiple times and had to do a porting request. Which takes a week. Now everything works but I had to keep 2 phone and internet serviced in parallel for a week... Kind of kills some of those costs savings.
