My Own Telco is a VOIP provider established in 2006 and his Head Office is in Brossard, Rive-Sud suburb of Montreal, QC. My Own Telco is a brand owned and operated by Enterprise SoftConseil and SunNET Group. Let us review now the features available with My Own Telco!
There some of the usual VoIP features such as voicemail and caller id and some neat additions such as fax-to-email, however, My Own Telco Evo plan does not support Emergency calls so as such is limited the use as a home phone. If you need a fully Home Phone you need to go with the more expensive JaFone plan. It includes services such as 911, 311, 411, 511 & 811.
The JaFone costs $14.95 a month and is coming with 500 inbound minutes included, that is to receive calls PLUS 1,000 outbound minutes, to make calls. This concept of inbound and outbound may be confusing for the average user. Majority of plans do come with the allotted minutes, regardless if it is receiving or making calls.
A more full verged Home Phone is Phone Power, VoIP Much or Talkit whom do support e911 and have a full plethora of features.
